This conflict occurs in the 11th chapter of The Mandalorian series, called The Heiress. Kratos and Atreus are characters from the God of War game series. Kratos is the main protagonist in the story, who popped up in the franchise back in 2005. He's this mega-powerful warrior going on many adventures to either stop a total disaster or flip his destiny.
This Spartan warrior turned into the "Ghost of Sparta" after accidentally killing his family thanks to the manipulation of the god Ares. He embarks on a quest for revenge, ultimately defeating Ares and then becoming the god of war.
As the series goes on in the Norse vibe, Kratos gets tired of all the revenge and chaos, and goes through some major changes, becoming a good guy, keeping his rage in check, and looking after his son, Atreus.
With a role of great importance in the series, Atreus, Kratos' son, shows up in the 2018 game.
