After the success of the Batman film of the year 1989, which marked the 50th anniversary of the debut of the Batman, a sequel was inevitable, so in 1992, again under the direction of Tim Burton and Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne / Batman, the film Batman Returns brought the Dark Knight back to theatres, thus creating his first film franchise. In this sequel Gotham's night protector faces Max Shreck (Christopher Walken), a corrupt tycoon, the enigmatic Catwoman played by Michelle Pfeiffer, and the fearsome Penguin, by Danny DeVito, who seeks revenge against the society that rejected him. A success among fans and critics, it was nominated for two Oscars: Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup.
With his origins diverging from the comic books, Oswald Cobblepot, the Penguin, was born in Gotham's aristocracy of high society, but due to his deformities he is abandoned by his parents as a baby. Supposedly created as the attraction of a freak show, thirty-three years later he returns as the leader of the Red Triangle Circus Gang, looking for revenge. Capable of expressing emotions, like affection, pain, and empathy, Blue reencountered her old trainer three years after the incident in an apparent rescue mission, in which Owen is betrayed by the mercenary team that accompanied him, and Blue is hurt, captured, and taken to the continent with other captive dinosaurs for an auction. Twisted Metal\’s Clown of Destruction gets a statue by Iron Studios!
Launched already in three different generations of the PlayStation platform, one of the oldest and most classic series from Sony Interactive Studios, the Twisted Metal game series was created in 1995 by David Jaffe, and features several custom vehicles in a series of arenas, fighting a battle of destruction where the survivor, and winner, will have their wish fulfilled. In this story, the concept of being aware of what you wish is very significant.
Filled with dark humor, machine guns, mines, projectiles, and explosions, Twisted Metal features Needles Kane, a crazy psychopath inhabitant of an abandoned ghost town, who, seeing the Twisted Metal tournament as a \”Circus\”, adopts the identity of a scary clown with the name of Sweet Tooth, in order to enter the competition. Driving a modified van, with the characteristics of an ice cream car, Sweet Tooth became the symbol character of the franchise, present in all released games.
A twisted metal door with cracked glass, one of the wheels with a wide tire, a decorative clown head on the roof, and a minigun rotary machine gun, make up the wreckage of the ice cream and destruction van, piled up, forming its base diorama.
