Created by Marvel, The Guardians of the Galaxy are a ragtag team of misfits, thrown together with the sole purpose of protecting the Galaxy against the forces of evil. Yondu is a powerful and ruthless space pirate, leader of his group of Ravagers, who travel the universe looking for their next big score. His weapons of choice are arrows that move according to his whistles. Motivated primarily by greed he often betrays his allies but sometimes will show glimmers of compassion. Produced under official Marvel license, the Yondu commemorative is plated in 24-carat gold. The reverse of the commemorative is brought to life by Yondu on raised metal and in full colour, in his fighting stance. The obverse features the official Guardians of the Galaxy logo.
